*Job Summary
- We are a small animal clinic located in Scarborough, seeking a motivated full time, veterinary assistant and receptionist to join our amazing team, preferably with experience. This position requires working weekdays and some weekends. We expect someone with a polite and positive personality who is a quick learner, team player and works well with patients and clients. Minimum six months to one year relevant job experience in a veterinary field is highly recommended.

*Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the doctor and technicians during appointments, procedures and surgeries
- Restraint of animals, mostly dogs and cats
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- General cleanliness/upkeep of hospital to maintain clean, odor-free, and attractive environment
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties for all areas
- Stocking of exam rooms, surgical suite and treatment area
- Assist in inventory procedures, Unpack and stock hospital, cleaning, office, and kennel supplies.
- Provide an exceptional client experience

*Qualifications and Skills
- Highly recommended - Minimum six months relevant veterinary field experience
- Works well under pressure
- Have excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Computer skills, Knowledge of Avimark is an asset
