**DESCRIPTION**

The Stone Store has provided downtown Guelph with natural, local, organic foods for 50+ years. We work to create a welcoming store that truly cares about our customers and the products we sell. We are committed to excellent customer service and giving back to the community we live and work in.

The Stone Store Natural Foods is looking for an enthusiastic, health-conscious individual for the position of Retail Associate. This position is a customer-facing role.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The Retail Associate’s accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Cashier and Customer service duties - Greeting customers, helping customers find products or making appropriate product recommendations, accurately processing customer transactions
- Stay up to date on current store promotions and product training
- Stocking shelves - keep shelves stocked and tidy with accurate rotation of inventory
- Stocking cooler (requires time spent in walk-in cooler at 4°C)
- Receiving deliveries
- Cleaning and organizing
- Opening or closing the store (with assistance)
- Other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Retail experience in the Natural/Health Food Industry
- Possess and display a positive attitude with customers and coworkers working in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Reliable
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours per day
- Ability to lift to 50lb.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Evening and Weekend availability is a requirement for this position.
- Majority of the time in role is people facing including working alongside colleagues, customers, and vendors including shipping company personnel, etc.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Part time, 21-30 hours per week
- A valid Social Insurance Number and legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
