**Duties**:
The Indigenous Affairs Manager provides support, strategic, and expert advice to the Lake Louise Yoho & Kootenay Field Unit Superintendent and its Management Team as the lead for developing and coordinating consultation processes, plans, agreements and joint projects, as well as developing and strengthening interest-based working relationships with Indigenous communities. It engages in collaborative initiatives and negotiations with external clients, communities, and represents the Agency as an authority and decision-maker in various forums. The Indigenous Affairs Manager is required to work under strategic direction and leadership and may supervise a small work unit or team.
This position will work locally to build relationships between Parks Canada and Indigenous groups in the geographical area of the Lake Louise, Yoho & Kootenay field unit. This position also actively participates as a member of the Agency Indigenous Affairs functional network by contributing to Agency initiatives.
