**Loss Prevention Services Limited** (LPS) is the premier provider of security personnel assisting a wide client base.

LPS is currently seeking **FULL TIME** **experienced Loss Prevention Investigators** in **Ottawa, ON**. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong knowledge in the Criminal Code of Canada, Citizens Powers of Arrest, and Trespass to Property Act and have a security orientated education and have experience in the Retail Loss Prevention Industry.

**Essential** - Previous Undercover Loss Prevention Experience

Specific Expectations - Working in retail environment to identify and apprehend those persons committing shop theft.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to retail and warehouse environment
- Detect and apprehend shoplifters in order to deliver them to the police.
- Follow proper procedures and protocols
- Write extensive incident reports while utilizing knowledge in Trespass to Property Act and Citizens Powers of Arrest
- Represent Loss Prevention Services in a professional manner, including in all court-related procedures

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- High school Diploma (preference will be given to Police Foundations/Law & Security graduates)
- Full Time Availability - Minimum 32 Hours.
- Cell phone with a data plan
- Ability to work on weekends
- Physically fit to walk for extended periods of time
- High degree of honest & integrity
- Reliable vehicle is an asset

**Compensation**:

- $18 (and up) per hour dependent on experience

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
