Brand Ambassador

Overview:
PMA Canada is seeking a bi-lingual (French and English) passionate ambassador to lead the successful execution of both Event Activation and Brand Advocacy/Engagement efforts for Brown-Forman brands in Quebec. This position requires a strong flair for building and executing large events in Quebec. Events include but are not limited to: Jack Daniel’s at Formula 1 in Montreal, Osheaga Music Festival, Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience Cocktail Competition and much more. You must have a passion for learning and sharing brand knowledge that exemplifies the premium Brown-Forman brand portfolio; including Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands, Woodford Reserve, Herradura Tequila and many more.

**Scope**:Regional / Provincial. Provincial travel is a requirement for this role.

**Responsibilities**:
**Required Duties**:
o Work and collaborate with the Senior Advocacy and Engagement Managers to

learn and develop the Advocate area of the position, especially in Brand

Education, Storytelling and Training efforts with Trade and Consumers

Collaborate with territory managers to identify activation and event opportunities

in their assigned territory

o Planning with internal and external partners

o Execute events within budgetary guidelines

o Execute On-Premise programs/promotions within diverse accounts

o Build and grow relationships with key stakeholders and contacts including,

clients, suppliers, agency partners, influencers and other industry players.

o Develop and communicate the event calendar to stakeholders

o Coordinate merchandising and POS material for assigned promotions

o Plan and Execute promotions / brand events in accordance to guidelines

o Create post reports for all events/promotions in a timely manner

o Utilize social media tools according to the customer needs and within company

guidelines

o Ensure compliance of all activations to the local / provincial regulations and

internal company guidelines

o Report on competitive activities within accounts and offer constructive

suggestions

o Gather event insights and present results, findings and comments to leadership

o Recruit key gatekeepers for selected accounts and build relationship with them

o Execute employee training through work-withs

o Execute customer staff trainings (cocktail trends, hands on-training)

o Develop and execute promotional activities at select sponsorship events

o Execute media events, drive brand messaging with key media outlets, and

become the voice for the brand

o Host educational seminars on the Premium brand portfolio and categories
- history, heritage and popularity

o Conduct training for agency promotional team members

o Represent the Premium brands portfolio at media events

o Drive distribution, visibility and endorsement of Brands in top on-trade and off
- trade outlets in key markets

o Other related duties as assigned

o Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work purposes (car '

allowance provided)

Qualifications:
**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred

o Bi-lingual (French and English)

o 3 years sales/marketing/promotional experience with agency experience

preferred

o Trained mixologist capable of bartending at a level consistent with Trend

Leading Account bartender in Canada

o Smart Serve certified

o Proficient MS Office skills

o Experience working with and handling spirits / alcohol in a bar and or

restaurant

o Excellent Negotiation and Influencing Skills

o Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

o Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening and written

o Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities

o Excellent sales and promotional background

o Seek out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive

o Demonstrated capability in training

o Knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition

o Previous experience with premium alcohol brands preferred

**Physical Demands of Job**:
o Carrying and lifting 45-65 pounds

o Overhead reaching to perform various duties

o Standing and walking for periods of time to perform various duties

o Squatting or bending to perform various duties as assigned
