**Summary**

The Associate Director of Production is responsible for providing assistance in the development and maintenance of organizational systems and procedures, direct management and support for EPiQVision’s Production Management team and their successful event execution. Reporting to the Director of Production, and in conjunction with all areas of the organization, this role is responsible for ensuring the EPiQVision brand standards are consistently met and exceeded by the Production Management team. From the initial point of contact with a client through the successful completion of events and post-production processes, the Associate Director of Production will guide their team and assist them with production management expertise to succeed in their roles within the department.

**Job Duties**
- **Team Management**_
- Provide leadership and supervision to team members to ensure their clients are receiving the best service and guidance in their projects, and step in to assist wherever needed
- Provide coaching, guidance, and tools to assist team members for growth and development
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Production to help team members achieve performance targets and goals
- Track and report on key metrics for evaluating performance of the team as well as overall job profitability
- Facilitate team collaboration with all other departments to support company initiatives, improve workflows, and ensure successful event execution
- Ensure pre and post event meetings are conducted with relevant parties and ensure key learnings are appropriately published for action
- Find creative ways to improve the functions and processes used by the production management team
- **Overall Management**_
- Support the goals of the department’s annual strategic plan
- Work with other members of the organization’s leadership team to ensure continuous and effective cross departmental communication
- Assist in the identification of departmental challenges and collaborate on processes to create ease and efficiencies
- Reduce production costs where possible to generate higher revenue for company
- Assist the Director of Production by informing and consulting on any challenges that may arise whether show related, personnel related, or other, and support in the development of solutions and implementation plans to resolve them
- **Event Production**_
- Offer real world experience to team members, assisting with the development of creative and thoughtful audio-visual solutions
- Ensure quoted solutions follow company standards and guidelines for successful execution
- Ensure continuous progression of jobs through the quoting and execution process, following established company timelines
- Attend client meetings and site visits as required
- Develop and maintain knowledge of product and service offerings
- Act as Production Manager for events when required
- **General**_
- Provide and maintain a positive relationship with all clients, vendors, employees, and independent contractors through effective communication
- Attend company meetings as required
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times
- Maintain a collaborative and positive team attitude with internal personnel and clients
- Other duties as required by company

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in event production, event management, hospitality, business management, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience in the live events industry
- 5+ years experience in production management or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years experience managing a team
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live event environment
- Ability to manage multiple requests and rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of dealing with problems quickly and effectively
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Proficiency with the use of computer hardware, software, and programs, including the Internet, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
- Ability to communicate orally and written at a professional working proficiency level or greater in the English language
- Extensive experience creating production schedules
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Strong negotiation skills
- Work experience with LED walls, conference systems, and rigging is an asset
- CAD experience is an asset
- Experience using Flex Rental Solutions software is an asset
- Knowledge and experience of Lasso Crew Management Software is an asset
- Knowledge of current workplace health & safety regulations, fire & building codes, and AODA regulations in relation to the live entertainment industry is an asset
- Working At Heights and MEWP training and certification is an asset
- Valid driver's license and vehicle is an asset
