The BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) contributes to the protection of society by preparing for and conducting independent, effective and fair prosecutions and appeals and by striving to develop the most effective methods to administer criminal justice in the province.
It is the responsibility of Business Operations is to develop and implement strategies to address issues and challenges, improve service delivery effectiveness and oversee the development of BCPS policies and processes related to finance, information and other technologies, human resources, labour relations, and facilities.
Working at Headquarters, this position is responsible for providing a variety of office administrative, secretarial and financial support services, including direct support and coordination of the day-to-day priorities for the Executive Director, Business Operations and their respective team. This position is also responsible for liaising with ministry executive offices.

**Job Requirements**:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of 1 year (preferred 2 years) recent (within the last 5 years)** **administrative experience.*
- **Administrative experience must include at least 3 of the following**:
- Office experience working in a confidential capacity; proven experience maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information and materials.
- Experience managing calendars, scheduling meetings and travel arrangements, including logistics, facilities and catering.
- Experience typing, drafting, formatting, proofreading and editing a variety of documents, including memos, briefing materials, reports and presentations.
- Experience developing and maintaining administrative systems, procedures and standards including executive correspondence, templates and records management.
**Preference may be given to applicants with**:
- A certificate in office administration or equivalent.
- Experience working in the Justice sector environment.
