**Marketing & Events Assistant (Summer Job)**
Established in 1837, **the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS)** is the oldest yacht club in the Americas, home to close to 900 members from Canada, the United States and beyond. In addition to highly successful on-water programs, the Squadron has extensive facilities and a vibrant social program to ensure a wonderful, year-round experience for all members and guests.
Working closely with the Communication & Membership Coordinator, you will assist in developing both internal and external communications strategies to keep internal departments, the membership and the community at large informed of the RNSYS many and varied products & services.
**Day to day duties of our Marketing & Events Assistant would include**:
Your main goal will be to work with our Communication & Membership Coordinator to assist with generating promotional material and hosting events at the Squadron.
Some of the responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing a high level of member service and satisfaction
- Attending and supporting events on-site throughout the summer
- Capturing high-quality photos and video content at events and around the club to be used for promotional purposes
- Liaise with management to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain the overall appearance, layout and design of the event
- Promote and attract new members to participate in events
- Liaise with internal managers to discuss and manage communications regarding RNSYS
- Assist internal managers and departments with various marketing and events
- Create content and artwork for club digital platforms such as website, weekly e-blast, Facebook, Instagram, and print posters/newsletters
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: Up to $18.50 per hour
