Job Summary

**Responsibilities**:
Perform installation, wiring, and commissioning of standby generators (Generac and other brands).

Carry out diagnostic service calls to troubleshoot electrical and generator-related issues at residential and commercial properties.

Install, maintain, and repair transfer switches, panels, and related electrical systems.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance on standby generators to ensure reliability.

Work safely and in compliance with CSA, RBQ, and electrical code standards.

Provide excellent customer service on-site, explaining work performed and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts, and hours worked.

Collaborate with the team on larger installation projects and provide support when required.

Skills & Qualifications

Licensed or apprentice electrician

Experience in residential or commercial electrical service work (generator experience is an asset, but training provided).

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Strong knowledge of panels, breakers, transfer switches, and standby power systems.

Comfortable working independently on service calls.

Valid driver’s license (company vehicle may be provided).

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

Effectuer l’installation, le câblage et la mise en service de génératrices de secours (Generac et autres marques).

Répondre aux appels de service pour diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes électriques et liés aux génératrices chez des clients résidentiels et commerciaux.

Installer, entretenir et réparer les panneaux électriques, disjoncteurs et interrupteurs de transfert.

Réaliser la maintenance préventive des génératrices afin d’assurer leur fiabilité.

Travailler de façon sécuritaire et conforme aux normes CSA, RBQ et Code électrique du Québec.

Fournir un service à la clientèle de qualité en expliquant clairement les travaux effectués et en assurant la satisfaction des clients.

Tenir à jour les rapports de travail, pièces utilisées et heures effectuées.

Collaborer avec l’équipe lors de projets d’installation plus importants.
Compétences et qualifications

Électricien(ne) compagnon(ne) ou apprenti(e).

Expérience en électricité résidentielle ou commerciale (expérience en génératrices est un atout; formation offerte).

Capacité de lire et interpréter des plans, schémas et diagrammes électriques.

Bonne connaissance des panneaux, disjoncteurs, interrupteurs de transfert et systèmes de secours.

Autonomie lors des appels de service.

Permis de conduire valide (véhicule de compagnie possible).

Excellentes habiletés de communication et service à la clientèle.
