_**Central Village Childcare Society**_ is a new, innovative childcare facility dedicated to providing a nurturing, educational, and safe environment for children. We are committed to fostering the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of each child through a balanced curriculum and a play-based learning approach.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to meet the emotional, physical, and social needs of children.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Monitor and assess children's progress to ensure developmental milestones are being met.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive curriculum that promotes learning through play.

**Qualifications**:

- **BC Certificate** in ECE/ ECEA/ IT or, SN
- Previous experience working with young children is an asset,
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer operations for educational purposes.
- Fluency in French is advantageous.
- Excellent writing skills for documentation and communication purposes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
