THE OPPORTUNITY
This position will provide HR support for client groups in partnership with the HR Site Head at the Winnipeg Site. The position facilitates HR business processes, including performance management, compensation, talent reviews and succession planning, employee development, providing user support and completing HRIS transactions, conducting employee relations issue investigations. The position additionally supports global HR projects and initiatives as needed.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

Partner and consult with leadership to strengthen leadership/management capabilities, organizational design, and employee engagement.
Guide leaders and employees through HR business processes (i.e., Performance Management, Year End Performance Rating Calibration, Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation Planning, Talent Reviews and Succession Planning, etc.).
Guide employees and managers through HRIS self-service transactions.
Perform HRIS transactions to ensure system data integrity, and partner with global HRIS team to escalate system issues as needed.
Prepare employee documentation including employee movement, memos, progressive discipline, and general communications.
Partner with Global HR Centre of Excellence teams in delivering global HR initiatives.
Coach leaders on employee relations issues, providing strategies and procedures relating to employee relations/performance issues.
Investigate employee complaints/concerns; facilitate resolutions.
Conduct employee terminations ensuring documentation and related protocols are followed.
Perform compensation analyses in order to advise managers regarding promotions and other job changes.
Develop and generate HRIS reports - including staffing, headcount, compensation, etc.
Facilitate and lead site diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Provide training and/or the coordination of training programs as appropriate.
Provide direction to employees and answer questions on company policies and procedures.
Create and maintain personnel files, ensuring all HR records are filed on a timely basis.
Collect, audit, and effectively maintain employee work authorization processes.
Model core values and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provides special project support to the HR Site Head and the Global HR Team as needed.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant human resources experience. Experience working with various human resources functional areas required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office
Experience in executing HR processes
Ability to execute reporting, analyze data and provide recommendations.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Knowledge of local and national employment laws.
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Citizenship/Permanent Resident or Valid Work Permit.
Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
