**Azure Administrator**

Fujitsu’s multi-province Canadian Education Practice is currently looking to hire a full-time Azure system administrator for the blended hybrid and/or remote BC team (PST time zone).

**Role expectations**

**Responsibilities**:

- _Business as Usual Delivery - _Work within a SAFe Agile team, managing their own work to define, build, test, and deliver value.
- _Operational Excellence _- Participates in the ongoing operational practices throughout the business as usual lifecycle with a focus on efficiency and automation. This includes operational reporting requirements and processes.
- _Collaboration _-the team member works closely with the Architect, and other members of the operation and feature teams to enable solutions in iterations as the requirements and/or solution evolves.
- _Standards and Efficiency _- Share best practices and always look for continuous improvement / efficiency opportunities throughout the lifecycle of the project
- _Baseline Management _- Maintaining and enhancing the tools provided, maintain visibility into the run state of the environment, with established controls and processes, meeting operational requirements
- _Platform Management _- Monitoring, assessing and managing the cloud computing service performance and availability, to established service levels
- _Iterative Improvements _- The team member will keep up with solution components utilized in order to react to cloud service changes and how it may influence the maintainability of the solution.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of on-call experience, responding and addressing automated alerts and call in escalations
- 1+ years of experience in leveraging Azure in enterprise environments.
- In-depth technical skills in infrastructure & server infrastructure support
- Experience monitoring and maintaining infrastructure and platform solutions to meet or exceed standards defined within Service Level Agreements for a 24/7/365 environment.
- Strong communication skills in order to effectively communicate with and make strategic recommendations to all levels of internal/external service partners
- A deep passion for technology and a love of learning new things.

**Mandatory Skills/Experience**:

- 5 Years' Overall Operations Implementation experience
- 2 years of 24 hour on call services for system availability and performance incidents
- 2 years of secure network and best practice experience
- 1 Year Inventory and Visibility Support(service health, Log analytics, inventory and change tracking, network monitoring, DNS monitoring, service change tracking)
- 1 Year Platform Operations (Service Catalog, IaaS data performance, autoscaling, Automated Remediation)
- 1 Year Operations Compliance (Resource Organization, Operations Automation, Patch Management, Policy Enforcement, Environment Configuration)
- 1 Year Workload Operations (Database Performance, Application Monitoring, Performance Availability, Autoscale, Automated Remediation)
- 1 Year Azure Protection and Recovery(Security Management, Data Protection, Rapid Recovery)

**Nice to Haves**
- 1+ years of Expressroute support
- 2+ years of infrastructure and platform load testing
- 2+ years’ experience in database administration, and supporting physical and logical Microsoft SQL databases, analyzing SQL workloads, tuning indexes, recommending resource usage improvements to development teams and vendors
- SAFe agilest or greater accreditation
- Strong proven experience in formal incident and problem management
- Business Continuity and Disaster recovery planning, testing and deployment
- Writing Operational documentation for all processes and procedures
