Requisition ID: 165555 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Scotia Wealth Management Global Portfolio Advisory Group (GPAG)** **Manager, Investment Strategy - Data Analysis** GPAG’s investment strategy team takes a quantitative and process-oriented approach to setting the group’s strategic and tactical asset allocations, which seek to maximize portfolio returns for various levels of investment risk. Additionally, the team complements GPAG’s equity, fixed income and pooled investment vehicles (funds) teams by maintaining quantitative security selection screens and valuation models and evaluating potential secular growth investment themes. Finally, GPAG’s investment strategists publish periodic (ranging from daily to quarterly) analyses of macroeconomic and financial data, frequently using infographics to present key conclusions. **Job description**: - Use data collection, analysis and visualization software to support the investment strategy team - Maintain asset class dashboards for use by GPAG’s equity, fixed income and funds teams - Summarize the strategy team’s conclusions in client-friendly publications - Prepare client-friendly presentations for use by all members of the GPAG team - Respond to strategy-related inquiries from investment advisors **Required skills**: - Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering preferred - Interest in economics, finance and capital markets - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial data platforms, like Bloomberg - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Versed in programming and data visualization languages including Perl, Python, BQuant, Visual C++, Power BI, and MATLAB Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
