Human Resources Administrator

Lac Ste. Anne County is seeking a qualified Human Resources Administrator to join the Corporate Services Team.

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, this position provides support to a wide range of Human Resources functions including recruitment and selection, performance management, personnel records management, contract management, training, policy administration, and employee relations.

**Key Duties/ Responsibilities**

**Essential Functions**:

- Maintains personnel records in accordance with County policies.
- Maintains the County’s HR documents in a current and accessible format (job descriptions, policies, templates, etc.).
- Supports and administers contracting and onboarding of new County staff.
- Tracks and provides communication to management regarding HR records (overtime accumulation, earned days off accumulation, vacation time utilization, performance review completion, etc.).
- Provides communication to staff on HR related matters (policy changes, new hires, staff departures, etc.).
- Acts as a point of contact for staff enquiries on matters related to County HR policies and employment benefits.
- Maintains staff job descriptions and updates policies as directed.
- Supports effective labour relations by maintaining a positive working relationship with CUPE Local executive members.
- Completes administrative functions related to HR under the direction of the County's senior leadership team.

**Job Requirements**
- Strong background in office administration (3-5 years)
- Minimum 2 years experience in HR administration related work
- Minimum completed high school diploma or equivalent (GED); coursework in Human Resources Management considered an asset.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical information.
- Must be well-organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use high levels of diplomacy and tact.

**Work Environment**:

- This position works from the Lac Ste. Anne County Administration Building. Remote working arrangements will not be considered.

**Benefits**:Full benefits package available, including an Earned Days Off program

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, based on 35 hours per week; overtime availability required.
