Gunter Brothers Meat Co. is currently hiring for Meat Wrappers, Packaging and Freezer personnel

We are a family owned and operated butcher shop local to the Comox Valley for over 50 years. Known for supporting farmers and ranchers all over Vancouver Island. We are presently seeking individuals looking to start a career and grow with our expanding company in a fast-paced environment and fun, encouraging atmosphere.

What we offer as a company:

- Flexible hours, full and part time positions.
- Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm work week with a minimum of 40 hrs/week.
- All weekends and statutory holidays off with the potential for overtime hours
- Competitive wages and extended medical benefits after a probation period of 3 months.

Wages begin at $18.00/hr (with no experience) and wage increases are based on seniority/experience.

We are looking for applicants who are dependable, responsible, safety conscious and enthusiastic in the workplace.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Packaging of meat products
- Keeping up to production line speed while stacking boxes of product.
- Assist with various tasks assigned by lead hands and production supervisors.
- Actively and enthusiastically learning new skills while on the job.
- Working as part of a supportive, positive, and inclusive team setting.

**Qualifications include**:

- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs, push, and/or pull, heavy loads.
- Be willing to adhere to and ensure all hygienic food safe and WorkSafeBC requirements in the plant are followed.
- Experience in manufacturing or agriculture industry, within a fast-paced environment is an asset (but not required)
- Basic English is considered an asset.
- Class 5 drivers license is considered an asset.
- Food safe is an asset.
- Work safe BC is an asset.

**This company does not offer relocation assistance at this time. We are looking for workers that are local to the Comox Valley/Campbell river area.**
