**The opportunity**:
The Records and Access Analyst (Analyst) is a full-time position reporting to the Records and Information Officer. The purpose of this position is to support the Records and Information in supporting the University’s Records and Information Management (RIM) program and assist the Access and Privacy Coordinator with Access to Information Requests. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills. The position is responsible for maintaining professional, cooperative relationships with all individuals involved in the access to information process
- both records creators and requestors. The position involves working with sensitive information, and a high degree of confidentiality is required.
**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of two years' experience working within an office environment required.
- Experience in dealing effectively and diplomatically with senior members of an organization and the public, and ability to foster harmonious working relationships with other staff, both academic and support, is required.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Extensive computer experience on a variety of operating systems and software, including M365, a variety of Content Management Systems required.
- Strong research and analytical skills required.
- Communications and interpersonal skills required. Organizational skills required.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Time-management skills required.
- Document management skills required.
- Ability to research, conduct analysis and summarize reports required.
- Ability to think analytically, anticipate and resolve problems, exercise sound judgment and carry out duties with tact and diplomacy in a confidential environment required.
- Ability to work independently and undertake work as directed is required.
- Self-motivated and proficient in multi-tasking to meet competing deadlines is required.
- Ability to keep sensitive matters confidential is required.
- Technical Abilities, including:
- Ability to help the office stay current and adopt effective new technologies is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Experience or interest in working with a University or other educational institution.
- Familiarity with The University of Manitoba.
