Warehouse Associate

**About the Position**:
Understand and capable of receiving raw materials and packaging. Adhere to shipping and receiving processes and proper documenting procedures. Must strictly follow best practice in material handling scanning procedures. Perform daily cycle counts as scheduled. Responsible for ensuring the proper, safe and efficient operations of their duties as required.

**Responsibilities**:
**Shipping**
- Understand code system for finished inventory
- Practice first to expire, first out
- Keep a clean and organized freezer
- Picking of orders accurately and effectively on a timely basis
- Familiarity with export documents and procedures
- Be able to safely operate a forklift
- Understand and observe safety and WCB regulations
- Work in accordance with G.M.P. (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Scan finish goods to the freezer to their proper areas.

**RECEIVING**:

- Work in accordance to GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Practice “first expire first out” stock rotation.
- Be familiar with raw material and packaging specifications.
- Expedite orders from suppliers’ truck.
- Process paper work efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Be familiar with import procedures
- Organize the warehouse and keep it clean.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Understand and observe safety and WCB regulations.
- Scan and return unused materials from the production lines to their warehouse locations each day.

**Materials**:

- Break down a daily production schedule into raw material and packaging requirements.
- Supply internal customers (production lines and packaging departments) with raw materials and packaging supplies on a timely basis.
- Practice first to expire, first out to ensure proper inventory turnover.
- Work with procurement to assess inventory flow of materials and make recommendations to solve problems.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education with excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills and behaviours that contribute to superior performance
- Decision making skills
- Current First Aid Level 2 certification an asset.
- Excellent computer knowledge and able to learn new programs quickly; Must have SAP experience
- Knowledge of WHMIS / MSDS program.
- Knowledge of WSBC regulations.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fork Lift Driving Certificate with 2+ years experience (counter balance, reach truck).
- Inventory Management experience.
- Must have an understanding of production environments.
- Basic math computability and basic computer skills an asset.
- Able to trouble shoot and has a basic understanding of equipment and acceptable functions.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
