**Job Summary**
Year round position
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met, including sanitation and hygiene protocols.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation during service hours.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and utensils after use.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and eagerness to learn new culinary skills within the food industry.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
