DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Master's degree in Social Work is required.
- Registration (in good standing) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers is required.
- Previous clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders within a hospital based service setting;
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents from 12-18 years of age essential;
- Demonstrated experience in providing individual, group and family therapy to children and youth with psychiatric illnesses;
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practice guidelines pertaining to the treatment of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders; Experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and assessing & treating complex trauma is preferred
- Demonstrated skill in mental health assessment and crisis management;
- Proven ability to work effectively with other health care providers and community service and school board providers;
- Proven organizational, prioritization and problem-solving abilities;
- Proven to have strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills;
- Must be willing to travel from site to site; and
- Must provide successful Criminal Investigation Record.
- Must have satisfactory performance record;

- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area; and;
- Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard;
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
