**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for automotive invoices, including for insurance companies and dealerships.
- Collaborate with shop manager and owner to understand project requirements and scope.
- Utilize software tools such as Mitchell to create accurate estimates.
- Create supplemental invoices as required.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and job documentation.
- Explain estimates to clients.
- Contact insurance companies as required to get estimate approval.
- Monitor project costs and completion throughout the lifecycle.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in automotive estimating or a related field.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Mitchell is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of project management principles as they relate to automotive projects.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree in Automotive Estimating or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- I-CAR certification preferred

Pay: From $41,143.97 per year

Additional pay:
