**Salary**: The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $65.35/Hr.
Summary:
This position follows a matrix reporting structure, reporting to the Director, Strategic Recruitment, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director, Indigenous Cultural Safety Development under the Indigenous Wellness & Reconciliation (IWR) team. This structure ensures alignment between PHC’s recruitment strategies and its commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and reconciliation.
The Lead, Indigenous Employee Experience & Recruitment supports Providence Health Care’s (PHC) commitment to Truth & Reconciliation by creating pathways for Indigenous voices and contributions across the organization. Working in collaboration with PHC’s Recruitment team, Leadership, and the Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation (IWR) team, this role works collaboratively to develop, promote, and implement inclusive and culturally safe hiring practices across PHC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and partners to support recruitment and retention efforts.
- Advising hiring teams on inclusive recruitment strategies and culturally safe hiring practices.
- Developing mentorship, career growth, and employment opportunities for Indigenous employees.
- Assessing and improving policies, strategies, and workplace practices to promote Indigenous cultural safety.
- Providing training and resources for leaders to foster an equitable and welcoming environment.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience:
- A combination of education, lived experience, and professional expertise in Indigenous relations, recruitment, human resources, or a related field.
- Experience in community engagement, recruitment, or workforce development, particularly within Indigenous contexts.
Skills & Strengths:
- Deep understanding of Indigenous cultural safety, protocols, and ways of knowing.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Ability to advocate for equity and address systemic hiring barriers.
- Experience supporting Indigenous job seekers and employees.
- Effective communication, facilitation, and advisory skills.
- Knowledge of hiring practices, career pathways, and workforce development.
- Ability to analyze recruitment data and recommend improvements.
