Environmental Project Coordinator

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with components of project management that include preparing and tracking deliverables, client communication, report preparation, cost tracking, and guidance of junior staff.
- Interpret field notes and laboratory analytical results to assess environmental conditions.
- Collect and interpret laboratory data for various sampling matrices including soil, water, and air.
- Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Perform research to support environmental assessments and compliance with regulations.
- Develop reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on various environmental projects.
- Maintain accurate records of data collection and analysis processes.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- Eligibility for or membership with a professional organization (AIA, ASPB, APEGA, etc.) is required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience in planning and reporting British Columbia Stage 1 PSI, Stage 2 PSI, remediation, and reclamation is considered an asset, including CoR Part 1 and 2 submissions using the BC ER eSubmission tool.
- Experience compiling and submitting Phase 1/2s and Record of Site Conditions in the AER's OneStop is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the Ecologically Suitable Species Guideline and/or Schedule B reclamation assessments is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) for data visualization and mapping.
- Experience with laboratory data analysis and interpretation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with field screening techniques and equipment.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to environmental field equipment is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team across various environmental departments.
**Job Location**
This position will be based out of St. Albert, Alberta.
**Compensation**
This is a full-time position starting at $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
