**Job Duties**:
- Review client specifications and requirements, striving to fully comply with all required standards.
- Assists the Project Manager and Estimators with overall project performance, including scheduling, cost, safety and quality.
- Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including resourcing, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors.
- Track and distribute instructions and changes to trades and other parties who may be affected by the change. Document changes made.
- Track project progress and report to the management team via a formal communications plan
- Prior to the start of the project, create a submission list to be used for the construction.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and Vice President
- Ensure safety obligations with clients are carried out per the agreement’s terms and communicated to the Project Manager and Supervisors.
- Implement the Quality Assurance/Quality Control management system at the site.
- Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors
- Ensure that all submissions and inspection reports are accurate/in compliance and that all attached documents are current status, as per the timelines in the contract
- Complete testing as required by operations staff
- Coordinate any and all testing on and off-site
- Communicate with the client representative(s)
- Verify that the quality-related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes, specifications and standards.
- Plan project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project software.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- May routinely require the employee to climb, bend, push, pull, lift, and /or carry objects.
- Willing and able to travel for assigned out-of-town projects
- Previous experience as a Project Coordinator is considered an asset
- Previous experience in Sewer and Water, Wastewater treatment, and pumping stations is considered an asset
- Laboratory/field inspection and testing of asphalt, aggregates, soils and concrete.
- Field testing includes sampling, coring and compaction of various materials.
- Lab testing in accordance with contractual specifications using CSA, ASTM, OPSS and AASHTO methods.
- Conducts field surveys and operates survey instruments and computer equipment
- Directs equipment operators to adjust grade by moving earth, gravel, and other materials
- Plan and conduct layout by establishing baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements from project plans and specifications and transfer them onto the construction site.
- Clearly mark critical points and elevations on the job-site in order to construct accordingly.
- Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy
- Establish fixed points for use in layout using geodetic and engineering instruments.
- Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS)
- Work alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent in project planning, inspections, layout, and other fieldwork;
- Works with outside surveyors to collect data and interpret any issues
- Provide as-builts to site teams and clients
- Complete reports and checklists per company policies and/or contract requirements and advise supervisors of non-conformances and deviations.
- Must be able to perform shiftwork, including weekends; perform other duties as instructed.
