Grande Prairie, Canada Unified Valve Group Ltd. Full time

Unified Valve Group is currently looking for an entry level valve technician to work on our On-Site (field) teams in the following locations**:Brooks, Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Bonnyville and Fort St. John (BC) **. If you are a self-starter that enjoys keeping busy, and being challenged, this may be the role for you

**Responsibilities**:

- Making repairs to valves
- Assembling and breaking down new or used equipment
- Inspecting, repairing and testing equipment
- Field service work as needed
- Tear down troubleshooting of customer owned property for inspection repair, reassembly and testing
- Assembling, testing and painting of new or used wellhead/tree sections
- Courteous and professional communication with customers, vendors and Unified Valve Group Team Members
- Adherence to Unified Valve Group's Safety Policies and Procedures
- General shop maintenance and upkeep including storage, equipment clean up and shipping and receiving as needed

**Requirements**:

- PRV/PSV experience is an asset but not required
- Machining experience an asset
- Pressurized equipment experience an asset
- Very strong mechanical aptitude and experience
- Technical certificate an asset
- Strong problem-solving ability with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to list up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone with mínimal supervision
- Ability to read and write clearly
- Must be able to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop environment as well as On-Site
- This is a field position - travel and working flexible / irregular shifts and hours are a requirement
