**Location**: Chinook Care Center

**Position** **Type**:Permanent, Part-time position (0.5 FTE)

**Shift**:10:00am - 3:45 pm

**Salary**: $17.62 per hour

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Collects soiled linens and personal laundry from user areas.
- Sorts, washes, dries, and folds linen and residents’ personal clothing.
- Distributes linen and residents’ clothing to user areas.
- Performs minor mending and ironing services as required.
- Applies identification labels to all personal clothing and linens.
- Follows policies and procedures and work routines.
- Report unsafe, hazardous working conditions and any equipment malfunctions to their supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- Brings a caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- **Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined, including physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, mopping, and lifting heavy objects.**:

- **Must be free of allergies or related conditions that may be aggravated by work with detergents, soaps, and chemicals regularly used in the department.**:

- **Knowledgeable regarding the use of laundry equipment and supplies.**:

- Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents
- Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to function as an effective team member with other staff, residents, families, and the public.
