Temporary Pipefitter

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a **Pipefitter** for a temporary 2-4-week position to work at our Shepard Shop (_9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6)_. Pipefitter plays a vital role in mounting majors and assembling small-bore and large-bore piping systems according to drawings on various skidded packages. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, work is completed by reading and interpreting P&IDs, GA’s and Piping Specifications. Additionally, they may mentor apprentices for skill development. _Shift Schedule - 5:50AM-4:20PM (4 days/week,10 hours/day). Overtime is as required._

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter
- 1-2 years of previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- A team player with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills

**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)**:
**ASSEMBLY**:

- Installation and placement of major equipment.
- Installation and support of spooling.
- Skid layout for small bore piping.
- Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe.
- Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's, G.A.’s)
- Tack welding experience is an asset
