**Job Summary**

A School Bus Driver Trainer is a professional driver who, through mentorship and modeling, helps to impart the required knowledge, skills and abilities to new recruiters hoping to join our fleet of professionals. School Bus Driver Trainers act as principal terminal-level safety staff, assisting in the day-to-day functioning for their assigned terminal(s).

**Job Duties**
- Conduct on-road and in class School Bus Driver instruction and training
- Responsible for reporting, tracking, evaluations and documentation
- Conduct annual road evaluations for drivers as directed by the Area Manager of Safety & Training
- Assist and monitor the completion of New Employee Onboarding (NEO) documentation collection
- Collision re-training based on route cause
- Update relevant databases as required (if required)
- Reports training activities to Area Manager of Safety & Training and Branch Manager
- Work directly with the Area Manager of Safety & Training to ensure that all drivers’ licensing and training is current

**Qualifications**
- Possess a valid Class 2B license for 3 years
- No demerit points, convictions in the past two years and no at-fault accidents in previous three years
- Successful completion of the “Nova Scotia Driving Instructor Course” to obtain a Signing Authority (if required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to teach others and impart STC values
- Meet pertinent commercial driver medical standards including vision standards
- Maintain a clear criminal record
- Successful completion of School Bus Driver Improvement Course
- Successfully obtain First Aid & CPR certification
- Ability to travel based on business needs to various interprovince locations
