Job Summary:
We are a friendly, locally owned and operated restaurant located right downtown on the beautiful waterfront. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead our happy little team. You will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the restaurant. This is a key leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the head chef when necessary to ensure a smooth relationship between the front and back of house.
- Learn different positions in the restaurant to help out when needed when we get busy
- Have regular conversations and one-on-ones with the team to communicate goals, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees
- Maintain a safe, positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a managerial role within the industry or a similar one (required)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations (including liquor laws)
- Ability to work well under pressure

All hours spent on the floor will be part of the house tip pool. The house tip pool ranges between $3 - $5 extra dollars an hour (on top of your salary) depending on how busy we are. We offer health benefits after a probation period of 6 months. One free meal on shift and one free drink after shift. We are willing to train someone with limited managerial experience as long as you extensive experience in the restaurant industry and have great communication skills, exceptional problem solving skills, and are a fast learner. We want someone with a passion for leadership.

Pay: $54,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
