**Job Overview**
The Critter Guy is seeking a motivated and reliable Seasonal Wildlife Removal Technician to join our team for the spring-to-fall season (approximately April to October, 6-8 months, no winter work). This hands-on role involves assisting with humane wildlife removal, property inspections, and minor repairs to prevent re-entry. **Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the humane removal and relocation of wildlife (e.g., raccoons, bats, skunks, squirrels) from residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct property inspections to identify wildlife entry points and damage.
- Install exclusion devices (e.g., one-way doors, mesh, screens) to prevent wildlife re-entry.
- Perform minor repairs, such as sealing entry points, patching holes, or cleaning/restoring attics post-removal.
- Safely operate and maintain equipment, including traps, bait stations, and hand tools.
- Drive to job sites across Grey, Bruce, and Huron Counties using a company vehicle or personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
**Qualifications**
- **Required**:
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to drive to job sites is essential).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights (e.g., roofs, attics).
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Preferred:
- Experience using hand tools (e.g., drills, saws, screwdrivers) and performing minor repairs.
- Handyman or general maintenance experience (e.g., carpentry, drywall, sealing).
**Working Conditions**
- Seasonal position, approximately 6-8 months per year (April-October), with no work during winter months.
- Full-time hours, typically 36-44 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work based on client needs.
- Work involves travel to job sites across Grey, Bruce, and Huron Counties (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions, including exposure to heights, confined spaces (e.g., attics), and wildlife.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) and training provided.
