**JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY**

The primary responsibilities of the retail sales representative are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management. Retail sales representative is in charge of our customer first philosophy and are essential in delivering the best customer shopping experience possible.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Serving customers by selling products and meeting customers needs.
- Greeting and directing customers.
- Providing accurate information ( Examples: product features, pricing and services).
- Answering customers’ questions about specific products/services.
- Cross-sell products.
- Ensure that opening and closing procedures are followed daily.
- Ensure that all daily tasks are completed.
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers at according times.
- Stay up to date with new products and services.
- Reports any complaints, feedback, or issues to manager.
- Process all POS transactions, answering store telephone, as well as ensuring store is kept clean.
- Facebook posts must be submitted to Loading Screen page, content must be varied and complete daily.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS**
- Understanding of the retail sales process.
- Familiarity with consumer behaviour principles.
- Knowledge of inventory and stocking procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Maintain a friendly and open demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrates ability to think creatively to devise new selling techniques.
- Demonstrates solid organizational skills.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm and polite when dealing with frustrated or upset customers.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly.
- Works well with a team as well as independently.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
- Drivers License Preferred But Not Required.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The majority of working hours will be spent on the sales floor, assisting customers.
- Shifts may vary from time to time.
- Hours may be either part time or full time depending on the needs of the store.
- Light to moderate physical activity such as walking, standing and lifting boxes is required.

**Pay Rate**

$15.50/hr

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evenings

Work setting:

- Specialty store

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tillsonburg, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
