Harvest Manitoba is an outstanding place with employees that care greatly about the work that we do and the people that we work with and serve. We are seeking a Retail Associate Driver that will work well with our development team. The Retail Associate Driver’s primary objective is to assist and collaborate with the Development team to support retail pick-ups and relationships.

**Reports to**: Director of Development

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Community Food Drive & Events Associate to ensure the fulfillment of all Food and Fund Drive requisites.
- Efficiently deliver food drive supplies, such as yellow Harvest bins and signage, to individuals, businesses, schools, and community groups in preparation for their respective food drives.
- Collect donated food items and monetary contributions upon the conclusion of food drives.
- Provide essential resources required for the success of various events in collaboration with the Community Food Drive & Events Associate.
- Coordinate with the Community Food Drive & Events Associate to identify areas where a social media presence is warranted or capture event moments for social media coverage.
- Foster and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism.
- Operate Harvest vehicles, complete all mandated vehicle inspections and procedures, and cleanliness.
- Accurately record, label the weights of incoming food donations and the total amount of monetary donations, reporting these figures to the supervisor daily.
- Maintain meticulous data tracking in spreadsheets where required.
- Communicate any changes or updates as required to enhance program efficiency.
- Stand in for the Community Food Drive & Events Associate, when necessary.
- As an integral part of the Harvest Manitoba CREW, help as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Act as a dedicated Harvest ambassador when interfacing with the community.

**About you**:

- A strong belief in the dignity of all human beings and a positive and caring approach.
- Professional presence, with a positive attitude and self-starter, the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Required to be able to drive a 3 and 5 ton truck or complete Harvest provided training to learn.
- Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Proficient in technology including the use of Smart Phone / Tablet / Scanners.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to greet and associate with the public in a professional and cordial manner.
- Ability to thank donors for their contributions, explain how they help our organization, answer questions relating to Harvest, and take celebratory photos of donors for social media.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent attention to detail & strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with food safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of food-security and poverty issues (an asset).
- Required to have a valid class 5F Manitoba driver’s license.
- Required to have a clean driver’s history and provide a drivers abstract upon request.
- Required to provide a Criminal Records Check.
