**Overview**

Adventure Daycare Cumberland is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as an ECE/IT (Early Childhood Educator/Infant Toddler Educator). Our childcare centres are designed with the children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe, yet stimulating environment. Our programs inspire and educate through a deep connection to nature and the local community while including elements from the larger world.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator/Infant Toddler Certitifate
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• First Aid & CPR/AED level A (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to effectively plan, organize and implement educational activities
• Ability to make decisions on behalf of the children and protect their well-being
• Must be able to manage confidential information
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children

**Duties**

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities for children that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive developmental stage of each child
• Establish positive and supportive relationships with children and families, fostering open communication and collaboration
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and exploration
• Observe and assess children’s progress and development, documenting observations and communicating findings to families and colleagues
• Follow all licensing regulations and center policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
• Collaborate with other educators and staff members
