Animal Care Assistant

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, including regular cleaning and sanitizing.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the supervising staff.
- Assist with administering medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Support the team in conducting health checks and routine veterinary procedures.
- Engage with visitors and educate them about animal care practices.
- Help maintain inventory of supplies needed for animal care.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in animal care or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift and handle animals safely and comfortably.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in animal care while contributing positively to our community's welfare initiatives.
Pay: $17.20-$19.38 per hour
