Job Title: Experienced Caregiver

**Job Description**:
As an experienced caregiver, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and reliable care to individuals, including those with dementia and those requiring palliative care. Your integrity, empathy, and flexibility will be crucial in adapting to the diverse needs of our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized care to clients in various settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, administrative and healthcare professionals.
- Document care provided accurately and maintain detailed records.
- Demonstrate a gentle persuasive approach in managing challenging behaviors.
- Conduct yourself with integrity and uphold ethical standards in caregiving.
- Possess CPR & First Aid certification (an asset).
- Complete the Gentle Persuasive Approach course offered by KHHCS.
- Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Provide proof of having received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Demonstrate a willingness to continue education and stay updated on best practices in caregiving.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in Long Term Care, Private Homes, or Retirement Homes is an asset.
- Familiarity with dementia and palliative care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility, punctuality and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Experience with Parkinson's Disease is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
