**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Payroll** **Administrator** to join our Finance & Administration team. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for full-cycle payroll processing for six companies, along with related remittances and benefits administration. **Key Responsibilities**:
**Payroll**:

- Process weekly payroll for 3 companies and bi-weekly payroll for 6 companies.
- Ensure accurate entry of timecard data, including resolving discrepancies in collaboration with management.
- Calculate overtime, statutory pay, and other relevant payroll deductions.
- Update vacation balances and other leave absences in the payroll system.
- Maintain employee deductions in the payroll system.
- Record job allocations weekly for accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Process and report union dues, GRRSP, EHT, WSIB, ROEs, T4s, and other payroll-related deductions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to CRA payroll verification inquiries.
- Maintain meticulous payroll records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed.
- Process salary increases, bonuses, and other compensation adjustments as required.

**Benefits**:

- Process employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefit options, eligibility, enrollment, and claims processes.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Process employee expenses on a weekly basis for 3 companies, ensuring proper supporting documentation and accurate GL coding.
- Complete regular vacation reconciliations for employees and provide summaries to managers.
- Provide ad-hoc support for HR and Finance department projects.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with other payroll and HR-related initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- **Certification**:Payroll designation preferred.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of relevant experience in payroll administration.
- **Knowledge & Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite is required.
- Experience using Vista by Viewpoint or similar construction/payroll software is an asset.
- Experience with unionized environments is an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Fast-paced office environment with frequent sitting and use of hand dexterity.
- Full-time, permanent position with occasional extended hours as needed to meet business requirements.
