**Job Summary**:Responsible for developing, communicating and sharing in the delivery of the day to day operations of the Orillia Overnight Warming Centre. This is a frontline role that requires the Supervisor to set up the program and work overnights to be able to best execute service delivery. They will work alongside and support Warming Centre Workers and volunteers in providing coordination, direction and support to participants accessing the Orillia Warming Centre under the direction of the Outreach Manager.

**Accountability**: Able to affirm the vision, mission, and beliefs of The Lighthouse by demonstrating a commitment to our organization's values of trust, compassion, leadership, safety, and faith with sensitivity to the issues related to poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions, and developmental disabilities with a commitment to a discrimination-free environment.

**Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**
- Lead, supervise, and provide support for all direct reports.
- Conduct regularly scheduled 1:1’s with direct reports.
- Ensuring all training is completed and up to date.
- Ensure that all direct reports and those being supervised are maintaining professionalism and completing daily functions as required by the organization.
- Provide scheduling requirements and participate in payroll biweekly
- Ensure employees complete accurate, professional, factual and non-judgmental incident reports, Participant records and case management notes.

**Supervision**
- Complete onboarding/orientation/training of all new staff and track each new team member, at the direction of the Outreach Manager.
- Assist the Outreach Manager with the hiring and coaching process of direct reports.
- Conduct probationary evaluations for direct reports.
- Create and manage staff schedules and relief lists, using the Payworks program.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
- Ensuring all direct reports understand their responsibilities and are familiar with the policies and procedures of The Lighthouse.
- Ensure all staff are trained on this and using the diversion program.
- Follow and ensure that the plan for all donations is followed in the protocols set forth by the organization.
- Conduct a program evaluation at the end of the Warming Centre season from a housing-focused perspective.
- Respond according to program protocols to emergencies or crises**.**

**Community-based Support,**
- Collaborate with community partners and service providers to ensure the needs of the participant are being met under the direction of the Outreach Manager.
- Maintain inventory of supplies for basic needs.
- Provide participants with basic necessities.
- Advocate for services as needed.

**Safety and Maintenance**
- Always wear Lighthouse approved attire and safety gear and ensure the team is wearing theirs.
- Address, record, and report any safety concerns promptly. Fix what is in your power immediately.
- Report serious occurrences and injuries immediately to the Outreach Manager.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Ensure all workers participate in cleaning and basic housekeeping as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ensure all workers have appropriate training and are reporting any issues promptly.

**Qualifications**
- College diploma or University degree in business management, human resources or social work, or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in outreach/shelter and/or housing leadership and supervision.
- Experience in developing people and fostering teamwork.
- Experience in developing and managing schedules
- Experience with database management and data collection
- Computer skills, including Google Drive.
- High standard of integrity, judgement and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, supervisory and community relationship skills.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with compassion and sensitivity to the issues related to poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions and developmental disabilities, with a commitment to a discrimination-free environment.
- Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR are required during employment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening.
- Reliable transportation. Valid Ontario driver’s license.
- Must be flexible in terms of hours worked.
