**Permanent, Part-Time Childcare Assistant working in Merritt, BC**

The Children’s Therapy & Family Resource Centre has an opening for a **permanent, part-time Childcare Assistant** in Supported Child Development working in **Merritt, BC**. Guaranteed 20 hours/week.

Applicants **MUST **have own vehicle and a valid BC drivers license as this position requires regular travel to/from different daycare centres in Merritt.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Early Childhood Education or ECEA
- Experience working with children, particularly children with developmental disabilities
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain upon hiring (job requirement)
- Criminal record check required upon hiring
- **Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle** - no public transit as you will be working at different daycare centres on a regular basis
- Must be available Monday to Friday, no weekends
- **Wage Rate: starting at $27.91/hr**:

- **Extended Health Benefits following probationary period**:

- **Mileage allowance of $0.70/km matching the CRA allowable mileage rate for 2024.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $27.91 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
