**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklift operation skills when required.
- Perform basic maintenance and automotive repairs on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required during loading or unloading processes.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Experience in freight transportation is preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics and delivery processes.
- Skills in forklift operation are a plus, enhancing efficiency in loading and unloading tasks.
- Familiarity with automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance during long hauls.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is an advantage for handling various freight types effectively.
