**About the Field Safety Advisor position**:
Currently, we are seeking a **Field Safety Advisor** to join our team in the Lower Mainland. The position is based out of the Burnaby branch and will require travel to sites within the Lower Mainland on a daily basis. The Field Safety Advisor reports directly to the Corporate Health and Safety Manager.
This position assists in the development, implementation, and management of the Occupational Health and Safety program for Houle.
**Field Safety Advisor Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Conducts regular safety audits of Houle construction sites
- Inspection of facilities, workspaces, equipment, practices etc.
- Maintains proper documentation and record keeping
- Assists with our Stay at Work and Injury Management Program
- Investigation of accidents and incidents
- Provides on-site and classroom training to staff on the Houle Safety Program

**Experience and Skills**:

- Experience in a similar role
- Certification/ Training as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO)
- OFA level 1
- Previous experience on a construction site is required
- Fall Protection, Aerial Platforms & Train the Trainer and other safety related courses considered an asset
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office
- Assertive, Team player, Excellent communicator
