Vedika Foods is a growing Indian grocery store in Kitchener, offering a diverse range of South Asian groceries, fresh meat from our butcher shop, and delicious takeaway meals. We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee the entire store operation, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and an outstanding customer experience.

**Your Responsibilities**:
Cashiering & Customer Transactions:

- Operate the cash register and process payments accurately.
- Provide customers with information about ongoing sales and special offers.
- Pack groceries securely to ensure products remain intact.
- Handle refunds, exchanges, and petty cash transactions professionally.
- Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy.

Shelf Stocking & Merchandising:

- Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy.
- Label and price products using barcode scanners or pricing tools.
- Arrange products on shelves neatly and systematically to improve visibility.
- Remove expired or damaged items and maintain well-stocked shelves.
- Set up promotional displays and featured product sections.
- Keep store aisles clean, organized, and easy to navigate.
- Ensure clear labeling of organic, gluten-free, and specialty products.

Customer Assistance & Support:

- Assist customers in locating specific Indian grocery items, including spices and specialty ingredients.
- Provide information on how to use traditional products such as masalas, ghee, and specialty flours.
- Manage bulk orders for families, events, and catering needs.
- Offer carry-out assistance for elderly customers or those with large purchases.

**What You Bring**:
✔ Retail or grocery store experience is an asset, but training will be provided.

✔ A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.

✔ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow store procedures.

✔ Basic knowledge of Indian groceries and spices is an advantage.

✔ Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

✔ Ability to lift and move stock when required.
