P&d Driver

At Cardinal, we specialize in making pre 8-am deliveries. Customers depend on us so when they come to work, they have that part or componentso that they can get their jobs done.

As a P&D Driver you will be responsible for loading orders into an assigned company vehicle and following a predetermined route to ensure that all deliveries are made safely and on time.

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced environment that requires driving, lifting, lowering, and carrying packages to ensure damage free delivery.

**Primary Responsibilities & Duties**

Loading of truck with parcels and other deliveries, planning this so that your deliveries can be made expeditiously and safely
- Complete pick-ups and deliveries throughout the night.
- Carry packages to the delivery location and designated drop off points.
- Participate in the unloading of parcels that you have collected throughout the night so that these can be put on outgoing trucks headed to our hub terminals.
- Complete pre
- and post-trip vehicle inspections and operate company equipment safely.
- Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate manner, to be submitted to Night Supervisor and/or Operations Manager as soon as possible.
- PPE required to be worn at all times on the worksite, on the customer site and in any yard.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and sub trades.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- No formal education required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license (G license)
- Defensive Driving Course
- Dangerous Goods Certification

**Experience**:

- Minimum two years previous Class G driving experience required.
- Clean driver abstract required.
- Clear criminal background check required.
- Eligibility for bonding and transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Geographical knowledge of the general Toronto area preferred.
- Previous Courier or LTL delivery experience a definite asset.
