_**Nature of the Position**:_
Responsible for the microbiological analysis of and interpretation of results obtained for bulk/finished product, raw material and environmental test samples.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Perform various microbiological testing procedures accurately and with precision.
- Identify and classify microorganisms, assessing their potential hazard risks.
- Perform all work within safety guidelines, including proper disposal of all materials.
- Adhere to current GMP guidelines
- Maintain accurate and complete GLP documentation
- Review analytical data and test results for completeness and accuracy.
- Write new and follow existing written procedures/standard test methods (STMs).
- Clean laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Clean and keep laboratory tidy to minimize potential contamination and safety hazards.
- Provide laboratory assistance performing media preparation, autoclave operation
- Peer review completed microbiology worksheets.
- Performing Environmental Monitoring including routine water sampling
- Participate in investigations
- Participate in internal and external audit
- Keep Inventory of consumables
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
**Experience and Skills**
- BSc. (Microbiology) or equivalent education and experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or research microbiology laboratory.
- Perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately in English.
- Ability to define problems, collect data and facts, draw conclusions in a timely manner
- Be able to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgement.
- Ability to demonstrate time management skills.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and works towards resolution.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
