Performing a variety of clerical and administrative processes in support of the Border Office's operation.

**Position Duties**
- Follow established sop's to ensure cross-border shipments are processed accurately and timely.
- Review documentation on international shipments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist Customers by providing information regarding Customs rules and regulations and document preparation.
- Communicate with Custom Brokers, CBSA, USCBP and other government agencies to assure all goods are reported and entered appropriately for expeditious customs release.
- Coordinate with field terminals offices, relays, dispatch and dock operations to ensure mínimal driver delay and optimal percentage of Customs clearance at the border.
- Coordinate with drivers, terminal management and customs officers to ensure compliance with customs regulations on all examinations of goods at the customs border location.
- Provide customer service to internal and external Customers.
- Handle Customs clearance functions at inland terminals (as assigned)
- Support the growth and development of the YRC Brokerage Services
- General office and computer work
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

External Working Conditions: Work entirely in the border office. Variable shifts (days, afternoons or evenings, weekends) are required.

**Competencies / Requirements**
- Completion of secondary school.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

Pay: From $19.84 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Point Edward, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
