Sweet Thea is looking for a solid retail professional in the Tsawwassen/Delta area, to train to become a long-term member of our barista team at the Tsawwassen Quay Ferry Terminal.

As someone in our community, you will know that the ferry terminal is one of the busiest places in western Canada in peak season, with millions of foot passengers, trucks, buses, and cars passing through every year.

Our coffee shop must be open in conjunction with the ferry schedule, so we are looking for someone in the community who can easily commute, and has a flexible schedule - available weekdays, weekends, and evenings, as required. You must have a car, and parking will be provided.

If you are hard-working, reliable, a 'people person', with experience in cash or food handling - and would like to be considered for barista training to become part of our year-round core team - please send us your resume, and any other information you think we should know.

It is a full time job with an excellent team, above-average tips (especially summers and holidays), and a uniquely busy location. You will interact with lots of types of people --travelling high school teams, truck drivers, government employees, Gulf Islanders, tourists, travellers of every sort. We serve Parallel 49 coffee, and very popular baked goods - breakfast sandwiches, croissants, macaron, hand pies, scones and muffins - made from scratch using real butter, not industrial baking like most other outlets.

Initially you will be required to serve customers, do inventory, help with cleaning and preparation for the next day. If you are a good fit for us, and we for you, we will enroll you in the Canadian Barista institute to train you as a professional barista. There is definitely room for growth in our company.
