**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student assessments and goals.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning.
- Provide practice materials and resources to enhance students' understanding of test content and format.
- Teach time management techniques and test-taking strategies to help students perform at their best.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in test preparation, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of standardized tests formats, content areas, and scoring methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for online tutoring sessions is a plus.
- A passion for helping students achieve their academic goals and succeed in their testing endeavors.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Markham, ON L3R 0J7
