**DESCRIPTION**:
Reporting to the Supervisor AMI System Compliance & Logistics, the AMI System Analyst is responsible for AMI System quality and logistics. This consists of Quality Assurance (QA) programs, internal and external audits, contracts, budgets, training, and supply chain logistics.

The position will document, troubleshoot, validate current processes, make recommendations on process improvements, and lead the changes related to processes as required. The position will chart the workflows, track key metric reporting requirements, and perform audits. In addition, data entry, extraction and analysis are required to support the processes consistent with ISO quality management principles and AMI System Operations.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to)**:

- Act as a point of contact between meter and installation vendors and FortisAlberta to resolve complex logistic issues, and monitor compliance with service level agreements.
- At the end of each month, complete critical tasks in support of the month-end budget process.
- Ensure successful project completion by directing team efforts, navigating day-to-day challenges, and implementing project management strategies.
- Create and run data queries from several systems and reconcile reports from these systems, developing material movement and disposal reports, delivery schedules, purchase requirements and meter exchange plans from the data.
- Analyze data and data flow, working with leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Perform data entry as required to ensure current processes continue to perform as designed and interruptions to workflows are minimized.
- Provide data analysis and business process recommendations for budgeting/forecasting purposes.
- Proactively identify, assess, and perform data integrity, measurement, reporting, workflow analysis, audits and identification of business process enhancements required to support QA principles and the AMI System.
- Access, develop and manage documentation of AMI System processes that will ensure compliance with legislative, key stakeholder and internal performance requirements. This includes ensuring the proper controls are in place to meet requirements and consistency with QA principles.
- Document project requirements and test plans.
- Perform IT system testing.
- Provide training where required and transfer knowledge for ownership as appropriate.
- Facilitate process interactions and cultivate strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assist with administrative duties related to AMI System Operations when required.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**:

- Advanced analytical and system/process audit skills required to identify problems, resolve issues, evaluate possible solutions, and gain consensus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present information to various audiences in both formal and informal settings.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to manage numerous projects and competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective meetings for the purpose of capturing comprehensive business requirements.
- Ability to create and execute queries in relational databases.
- Customer service focus with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Degree or Diploma in Business, Commerce, Management, Quality Management or other related discipline and minimum of 5 years of related analysis experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license in good standing is required.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation would be an asset.
- A Project Management or Business Analyst certificate would be an asset.
- ISO 9001 Quality Assurance certificate would be an asset.
- Experience with system and process audits, design and delivery of training material and process mapping would be an asset.
- Familiarity with SAP would be an asset.

**SPECIAL CONDITIONS**:

- Occasional participation in work outside regular scheduled hours of work is required.
- Due to geographic and training considerations, some travel including overnight stays is required.
- Additional testing maybe required.
