The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery such as drill presses, saws, edge planer/router and other machinery. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Duties
- Operate light machinery, including: brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders, and computer numerical control equipment (CNC).
- Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metals according to the templates/blueprints.
- Monitor quality of fabrication and production.
- Sets up and operates heavy machine tools, such as: drill press, saws, edge planer/router and various other pieces of machinery/equipment.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum high school education
- Working experience in Metal Fabrication an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Previous experience using brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders, and computer numerical control equipment (CNC)
- Manual Dexterity
- Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Working Conditions
- Employee may be required to work in potentially hazardous environments requiring protective equipment.
- Employee may be exposed to dust, high temperatures and high levels of noise.
- Employee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting.
- Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment.
- Overtime as required.

Must own reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license

The hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to noon Friday - GREAT WORK/LIFE BALANCE. Hours may fluctuate based on business needs
