Thales people architect solutions that support 85 million mainline and suburban passenger journeys, worldwide, every day. Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems. Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily.

We are looking for a Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in Toronto

Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in Configuration Management (CM) activities: planning, identification, control, status accounting, and verification and audits- Provide Configuration Management and Change control process and tools related guidance and training to the bid/project/product teams as well as Engineering team- Contributes in improvement initiatives of CM procedures and tools- Implements Configuration Management system for the project/product- Ensures consistency of information in the configuration management system for the project / product- Participates in the analysis of contractual requirements for Configuration Management, prepares cost and time estimates during the bid and major project phases, and identifies associated risks- Participates in creation of Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)- Establishes CM baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL)- Perform, Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), Software Configuration Audits (SCA) and software build verification on software releases.- Provides support services to resolve configuration management issues during product and project lifecycles; escalate and complete (as much as possible) corrective actions in a timely fashion- Responsible to maintain consistency of information in the configuration management system for the project / product both in Country of Origin (COO) and Country of Destination(COD)- Liaises with other Thales unit CM personnel involved in the project as well as with subcontractors/suppliers regarding project CM related issues

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience- Minimum 5 years’ experience in monitoring System, Software/Hardware development through a direct role in CM, within Engineering or transverse- Fluent English written and verbal communication skills to allow effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledgeable in CM practices and principle- Experience of software and hardware CM and development processes- Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills- Familiarity with commercial version control and problem reporting tools- Railway Industry experience (or similar) with understanding of the context for the job function : complex system development- Experience in working with PLM system (Windchill/Palma)- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, DOORS, ClearCase/GIT, ClearQuest/JIRA, SAP would be an asset
