- Gather necessary working materials to demonstrate crafting techniques
- Prepare and deliver craftmaking lessons
- Produce carvings from wood, stone and other materials
- Design and create glass objects
- Design metal jewellery, utensils, implements, wall hangings and other objects
- Design ornamental and ceramic functional earthenware pieces
- Construct instruments
- Design bouquets and select natural and artificial flowers and decorative accessories to create arrangements or other floral items
- Design stained glass windows, lampshades and other objects and cut, paint, fire and assemble pieces of stained glass to create such products
- Organise day-to-day business operations
- Sell products on a retail basis
- Supervise apprentices or other artisans
