Calgary, Canada Pacekids Programs Full time

Location: Pacekids South ( 130, 20 Sunpark Drive SE Calgary)
- Part-time, Temporary until the end of June 2025, Monday to Friday, 6:45-8:30am, 11:15- 1:30pm, 4:00-5:30pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely transport children to and from school, ensuring compliance with traffic rules and safety regulations, with support from a van assistant.
- Assist students with diverse needs in boarding and disembarking from the van, providing necessary support, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van's safety and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized van interior, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and caregivers to address any specific needs or concerns related to transportation.
- Uphold a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the van, promoting a supportive and respectful environment for all children.
- Respond calmly and professionally to unexpected situations or emergencies during transportation.

**What you bring**:

- Valid Class 4 driver's license.
- Clear driver's abstract with a safe driving record.
- Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- Previous experience working with children, especially those with diverse needs, is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in various situations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to child transportation.
